Ready for the official, third-person bio? Okay...(ahem) here goes:

Julia Dvorin is a woman of many hats and not enough sleep, who tells stories wherever she can. A proud graduate of Viable Paradise, she fits her writing in while parenting two young boys and promoting a collaborative art project called "Fly Your Freak Flag High" (FYFFH). In her somewhat limited spare time, she enjoys sleeping, reading, painting, dining and, um, did someone say sleeping?

Julia holds a BA in Women's Studies and Sociology from UC Santa Cruz and an MA in Sociology from UC Santa Barbara and has been a lecturer in Sociology and Women's Studies. She has also been a speaker on the topic of relationship marketing and social media, especially for non-profit and other "mission-minded" organizations. She spent a decade in the trenches of Consumer Products Licensing as both Licensee and Licensing Agent, had a brief flirtation with sales for a financial education company, and ran a web solutions company with her husband and partner for 4 years.

In 2010, Julia's novelette "Cupid For a Day" was published in the Renaissance Festival Tales anthology from Hadley Rille Books. (You can download that story by itself on Kindle by clicking here.) Her debut fantasy adventure novel, Ice Will Reveal, was published by Hadley Rille Books in November 2012. Along with a sequel to Ice Will Reveal, another novel is currently in the works: a mashup of fantastical dreamworld speculative fiction with a (semi-fictionalized) memoir of her experience being treated for Hodgkin's Disease as a young adult.
